1. Bookings and Reservations
1.1. Reservations for stand-up paddle board (SUP) sailing lessons at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa, can be made via our official booking platforms or in person at our waterfront shop.
1.2. Lesson availability is subject to weather conditions, equipment readiness, and instructor scheduling.
1.3. A non-refundable deposit or full prepayment may be required at the time of booking, as specified during the reservation process.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
2.1. Participants who cancel at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled lesson may be eligible for a refund or may reschedule, subject to our discretion.
2.2. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson may not qualify for a refund or rescheduling.
2.3. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to unsuitable weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, an alternative date or full refund will be offered.
3. Participant Requirements
3.1. All participants must be at least 9 years of age to join SUP sailing lessons, in accordance with our safety standards.
3.2. Participants must be water-safe and confident on the water.
3.3. Any medical conditions, injuries, or disabilities that could affect participation must be disclosed in advance.
4. Safety Guidelines
4.1. Participants are required to follow all safety instructions given by instructors at all times.
4.2. Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are compulsory and must be worn throughout the lesson.
4.3. Instructors reserve the right to restrict or end participation if safety is at risk.
4.4. Appropriate safety gear must be worn and used as directed during the lesson.
5. Equipment Use
5.1. Participants are responsible for using all provided equipment—boards, paddles, sails, and PFDs—safely and appropriately.
5.2. Any damage resulting from misuse or negligence may incur additional charges.
6. Liability Waiver
6.1. All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to beginning their SUP sailing lesson. This acknowledges awareness and acceptance of the inherent risks of water-based activities.
7. Media and Photography
7.1. Photos and videos may be taken during lessons for promotional use. If you do not wish to appear in any media, please notify your instructor before the lesson starts.
8. Conduct and Behavior
8.1. Respectful and considerate behavior towards instructors, staff, and fellow participants is expected at all times.
9. Terms and Conditions Updates
9.1. We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Bookings will be subject to the terms in effect at the time of reservation.
